Mailxus is a free temp mail service that gives you a disposable email address with no signup. Copy the address, paste it into a sign-up form, and receive messages in real time. The address has no time limit, but inbox access depends on its access token.

What is a disposable email address?

A disposable email address is a real, working address on a domain we operate. Messages sent to it appear in the inbox on this page, as they would in any other mailbox. You do not register, set a password, or provide personal details. The address has no time limit, and inbox access depends on its token.

A disposable email address differs from a regular email account in three ways. You can only receive email, not reply or send. There is no password or account recovery, so access depends entirely on the token stored in your browser. The inbox is not long-term storage: messages are removed on a schedule.

People use one to sign up for a site they do not plan to revisit, receive a one-time verification code, or download a file behind an email form. It keeps those messages out of your personal inbox without giving the sender your personal email address.

How to use temp mail

  1. Copy the address at the top of this page.
  2. Paste it wherever a site asks for your email.
  3. The message shows up in the inbox above automatically.

Coming back later? Select the arrow next to the address box to reopen an address you used before.

When to use a disposable email address

  • Signing up for something you only need once.
  • Downloading a file that is gated behind an email form.
  • Receiving a one-time verification code.
  • Testing sign-up or password-reset flows you are building.

When not to use temp mail

Do not use a disposable address for anything you need to keep: banking, government services, work accounts, or password recovery for accounts that matter. Inbox access depends on keeping its access token, and messages are removed on a schedule.

How long do temp mail messages last?

Each message stays available for 24 hours, then it is removed. The address itself has no time limit. Save its access token and you can reopen the same inbox at any time.

The inbox part is fine, but I lost a token and there is no way to get that address back. That is on me, still worth knowing before you rely on it.

Does what it says. Two of the shops I tried blocked the domain, so I still keep a real backup address for anything I might need later.

Clean interface and nothing to install. I would like a longer window for keeping messages, but for codes and links a day is plenty.

Handy for newsletters I only want to read once. A few sites refuse disposable domains, but switching to another address fixes it most of the time.

Good for testing signup flows. I spin up an address, grab the link, and move on. The only thing I miss is a way to label an address so I remember what I used it for.

What sold me is that the address stays. I saved the token in my password manager and reopen the same inbox whenever a receipt arrives late.

Frequently asked questions

What is a temp mail address?

It is an email address you use in place of your personal address when a site asks for email but you do not want ongoing contact. It receives messages like a regular mailbox, and you read them on this page instead of in an email client.

Is Mailxus free?

Yes. Mailxus is free to use, with no paywall. You do not need a card or an account.

Do I need an account?

No. Inbox access is stored in this browser, not in an account. If you clear your browser data or switch devices without saving the access token, you lose access to that address.

How long does a temp mail address last?

The address has no time limit. Only messages have a limit: each one stays available for 24 hours, then it is removed.

Can I reply to a message?

No. Mailxus only receives mail. If a service needs a reply from you, use a real mailbox instead.

Can other people read my messages?

No. Reading an inbox requires its access token, which is stored in your browser. Someone who knows the address can send email to it but cannot open the inbox. We do not read your messages. Treat these messages as temporary: they are removed on a schedule, so do not use a temp mail address for sensitive or important messages.

Can I download an attachment?

You cannot download attachments. You can still read the text of a message that has one. Use a real mailbox when you need the file.

Can I receive verification codes by text or phone call?

Mailxus receives email, not text messages or phone calls. A code sent to a phone number cannot arrive in this inbox.

Will every site accept this address?

Some sites reject disposable email addresses during sign-up. If that happens, use a real mailbox for that site.
