Terms of Service
Last updated July 26, 2026
These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Mailxus for using our free temporary email service. In short: no account is required, an address has no time limit and is reopened with its access token, messages are removed after about 24 hours, Mailxus only receives mail and cannot send it, the service is provided "as is," and you must not use it for any unlawful or abusive purpose. Please read the full terms below before using the service.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Mailxus ("Mailxus," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of mailxus.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the Terms, do not use the Service.
What the service does
Mailxus provides a free temporary email service that lets you generate a random email address instantly with no registration, receive incoming messages at that address, and reopen the same address later with its access token. The address has no time limit; individual messages are removed after about 24 hours. Mailxus is receive-only and cannot send email.
No account, access by token
You use Mailxus without an account, username, or password. Your ability to open an inbox comes from its access token, which your browser stores. Anyone who has an address's token can read that inbox, so you are responsible for keeping your tokens private. If you lose a token, that inbox cannot be recovered, because there is no account to reset.
Acceptable use
You may use Mailxus only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You must not:
- Engage in or support any illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive activity.
- Use the Service in connection with spam, phishing, malware, harassment, or fraud.
- Create addresses or receive codes in a way that violates another website's or platform's terms.
- Receive communications that are confidential, regulated, or sensitive, such as banking, government, healthcare, or other private records.
- Probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service, its security, or its rate limits, or attempt to bypass any usage restriction.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity to cause harm.
We may report activity to the appropriate authorities where required by law, and we cooperate with valid legal requests. We keep limited technical records of address creation and inbox access to detect and prevent abuse.
Availability and data retention
An address never expires and will not be recycled for use by someone else. Individual messages are removed after about 24 hours. We do not guarantee that any message will arrive, be stored, or remain available for a particular time, or that the Service or any domain will always remain available. Once a message is removed, it cannot be recovered.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any message will be delivered or retained.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mailxus and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mailxus and its operators from third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and reasonable attorneys' fees and costs arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our breach, negligence, or willful misconduct.
Intellectual property
The Mailxus name, website, and design are owned by Mailxus and its operators and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the Mailxus name or branding except as needed to use the Service normally. Mailxus does not claim ownership of the content of emails received through the Service; any rights in that content remain with the sender or other rights holders.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required where you live. If you are under the age of legal majority, you may use the Service only with a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Changes to the service and these terms
We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we may revise these Terms. When we change the Terms, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or end your access to the Service without notice if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if the law requires us to do so. We may also discontinue features or the Service as a whole at any time, subject to applicable law.
Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect, and the unenforceable part will be limited or removed to the smallest extent necessary.
Applicable law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer-protection or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Third-party messages
Messages are sent by third parties. Mailxus does not control or endorse them and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, legality, or safety. Messages, links, and attachments may be harmful. You are responsible for deciding whether to open or use them.
General terms
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Mailxus concerning the Service and supersede prior agreements or communications about the Service. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale of assets, or operation of law.
